My journey into recovery coaching is deeply personal, as I, too, endured an eating disorder in my early adulthood. Having walked that path, I understand firsthand the challenges, the setbacks, and the breakthroughs that come with recovery.
As a recovery coach, I am committed to supporting individuals who are ready to take the next step in their recovery from eating disorders.
My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and practical strategies. I offer one-on-one coaching sessions designed to help you set and achieve your recovery goals, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and work towards building a future free from the grip of an eating disorder.
In addition to coaching, I offer meal support and “coffee chats” — informal sessions that provide a safe space for you to talk about your journey, share your challenges, and receive encouragement. Together, we’ll navigate the road to recovery, with a focus on building lasting change and emotional well-being.
I truly believe that recovery is possible, and I’m here to guide you on your journey, every step of the way.
With over 20 years of nursing experience, I have spent the last several years specializing in mental health, with a particular focus on supporting individuals dealing with eating disorders. I hold a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health, alongside specialized training with ACFED (the Australian Centre for Eating Disorders). Additionally, I have completed professional development courses with the Butterfly Foundation, where I honed skills in preventative care and intervention strategies. This combination of experience, education, and training enables me to provide compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals navigating the challenges of eating disorders.
Recovery coaching provides personalised support to help individuals overcome the challenges of disordered eating and build a healthier relationship with food and their body. As a recovery coach I provide 1:1 guidance, motivation, and practical day to day strategies to help clients set achievable goals, stay accountable, and navigate triggers. By focusing on emotional healing, self-compassion, and long-term recovery, I will empower you to create sustainable change and embark on a balanced, fulfilling life. I can support you in person, via phone, text or email.
During meal support I provide practical guidance and encouragement to help individuals and families navigate the challenges of meal planning, purchasing, preparation, and eating, either at home or in social spaces. This support focuses on creating a structured, non-judgmental environment where clients can build confidence around food, develop healthier eating habits, and overcome anxiety related to meals. Through compassionate coaching, individuals learn to approach eating with mindfulness and self-compassion, empowering them to sustain their recovery journey.
Also known as "transitional coaching", I offer essential phone calls, emails, zoom and text support during the critical period between a client's initial assessment and their admission to a treatment program. This phase can be particularly challenging, as individuals may experience heightened distress while waiting for formal care to begin. By offering short-term, personalised coaching, I aim to bridge the gap by providing emotional support, practical coping strategies, and guidance tailored to the individuals needs. This approach ensures that clients feel supported, empowered, and better prepared for their treatment journey while reducing feelings of isolation and uncertainty during this vulnerable time.
Coaching can be invaluable for parents and caregivers of loved ones with eating disorders. If your feeling overwhelmed, lost scared, tired, anxious, I can help.
